Personal Connection

I picked this topic because im intrested in the Air force and i like watching moveis about SF. Stuff like Lone Survivor, 12 Strong, and Act of Valor kinda got me into it, and after a while i started wondering how those guys actualy get picked in real life — not just the hollywood version. Thats how i ended up looking at AFSOC Assessment and Selection. It mixes two things i care about: the military side of history, and the question of how someone pushes themself to do something most people couldnt. Alot of my friends play sports so we talk about training and not quitting all the time, and AFSOC selection is basicly the hardest version of that whole conversation. Doing this research kinda changed how i watch those movies now too — the pararescueman pulling someone off a mountain didnt just happen, theres a whole selection process behind it that nobody really shows on screen.
